Collateral Sets Stage for Real-Time Web-Based Transaction Management

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. -- Collateral Mortgage Capital, LLC, recently completed vendor selection on a new "front-end" data management system. Analytic Solutions of Englewood, CO won the bid to customize its ProLink Commercial Mortgage Origination system to fit Collateral's data management needs. "This project is a major step in developing a system that integrates all the information databases in our various offices nationwide. It will standardize management reporting, track individual deals through each phase of delivery and will, during the course of the next 12 months, automate our underwriting areas and fully integrate with our Strategy servicing system," explained Brett Blackwood, Managing Director. "ProLink will enable Collateral to work 'live' - accessing up-to-date data via its web-based interface - from every office at every stage in the loan transaction process."

Analytic Solutions' basic ProLink product is a web-based commercial mortgage origination system that automates and integrates existing financial models, spreadsheets, templates, closing documents, databases and systems into a single work management environment. ProLink will provide Collateral with the ability to manage the loan origination process electronically.

"The plus for Collateral is that ProLink connects disparate systems and data from various stages of the loan origination process; from initial prospecting to screening and underwriting, through approval and closing, and ultimately to servicing and asset management," explained Collateral Vice President Bob Hixon. While all users will share a custom web-based interface to track tasks and loan progress, they continue will to do the lion's share of their work with their own familiar forms, models, spreadsheets and documents. This will decrease the learning curve, thus leveraging the knowledge and experience of Collateral's staff and the tools they currently use.
